With the table top of the desk I have decoupaged with a natural rustic paper, pretty cool design that worked out really well with the rustic style I was going for, with it's gold tones and a little added gold leaf. The Drawer pulls also have gold leaf for a little added sparkle.
Chic not too shabby.

this type of desk always proves so popular which is why I was horrified to discover it was heading for the dump! No no we really cannot have that! Can we just appreciate the superb craftsmanship, All solid pine and dovetail joints and still all in perfectly good working order! some minor imperfections that you would expect from a vintage item that has been used over the years but this only adds to its charm and character and after all isn't that why we love them.
It gives me such pleasure to upcycle this piece of furniture and happy to know we can help to keep these vintage
items in circulation to be appreciated in a lovely home once again.
I went with 'Period Colours ' I decided to
go with the lush flagon paint in eggshell from Classic Crown beautiful smooth gentle green.
